Heike Arbter re-elected as EUSIPA President

Press Release

  • Since 2016 President of the European umbrella association EUSIPA
  • Appointed by the General Meeting for a further two-year term of office

Brussels/ViennaHeike Arbter, Member of the Management Board of Raiffeisen Centrobank (RCB), was unanimously re-elected as President by the General Assembly of the European Structured Investment Products Association (EUSIPA) and thus confirmed in her office for another two years.

Thomas Wulf, Secretary General of EUSIPA in Brussels, is not surprised by the re-election. "Heike Arbter's many years in the industry have given her access to comprehensive product know-how, which she combines with excellent industry expertise. Together with the national partner associations, she has succeeded since 2016 in setting and proactively pursuing Europe-wide priorities for the industry. We are very pleased to have her continue as President and look forward to continuing our excellent collaboration. "

The manager, who played a key role in building up and shaping the Austrian certificates market, was delighted to be able to continue her work. "I am very pleased that my colleagues have once again expressed their confidence in me. The next two years will also be challenging, albeit with slightly different signs. We see slowly rising interest rates with continued high inflation, continued rising ESG demand in a complex, increasingly cross-border business environment. There is plenty to do," Arbter said.

Heike Arbter has more than 25 years of experience in the securities business. She has worked for RCB for more than 20 years, where she has been responsible for all business activities as a member of the Management Board since May 2019. She also holds a mandate in the supervisory body of the Stuttgart Stock Exchange and is a member of the Arbitration Court of the Vienna Stock Exchange. She has been a member of the supervisory board of Zertifikate Forum Austria since 2019.

EUSIPA was founded in 2009 as a non-profit organization under Belgian law. It represents the interests of the industry at European level and is the industry's main point of contact for regulators, policy makers and its members alike. The Austrian founding member of EUSIPA is Zertifikate Forum Austria.
