Vienna/Zürs am Arlberg – The investor conference in Zürs with a focus on Austria and the Central and Eastern Europe region (CEE) took place from 9-11 April for the 17th time. Leading listed companies met with international investors. Almost 1,000 one-on-one meetings served more than 50 listed companies as platform to exchange information on top-level with around 100 representatives of institutional investors including pension funds, funds and insurance companies. In addition to Austrian investors, investors from eleven different countries showed great interest in the represented companies.
More than that, the conference clearly underlined that RCB’s capital market expertise is strongly demanded by companies from different countries. In addition to the ATX-prime companies, leading companies from Poland, Russia, Romania, Ukraine, Turkey and the Czech Republic met with investors in one-on-one meetings.
For RCB CEO Wilhelm Celeda, the continued strong interest, despite the turbulent markets and the regulatory requirements, is reason for great joy: "Despite the challenges in relation to the MiFID II project, the interest of conference participants is unabated and thus stresses that first-hand information as well as the direct exchange between company representatives and investors are still very much appreciated. It encourages us to maintain the format again next year." Due to RCB’s Zürs Sentiment survey of 2018 the majority of Institutions and Corporates remained bullished. Optimistic sentiment clearly stood at 53 %. Neutral expectations rose to 39.5% while bearish sentiment declined to 7,5%.
