The best certificates and issuers in Austria were rewarded. Raiffeisen Centrobank (RCB) convinced the jury with its products and service range and successfully defended its title as overall winner against 18 national and international competitors. The ceremony was hosted by Zertifikate Forum Austria and its partner Zertifikate Journal.
Raiffeisen Centrobank came off as best issuer, winning ahead of BNP Paribas and Royal Bank of Scotland. RCB won awards in eight categories. "Against the backdrop of the challenging market environment prevailing in the past months, certificates have proved interesting investment instruments which provide for attractive profit opportunities. This is why we are particularly proud to have won this award which acknowledges our sustained and continued efforts on the Austrian market", says Heike Arbter, Head of Structured Products at RCB.
Successful title defence
The top class and independent jury members who were asset managers, retail bankers, online brokers and financial journalists, rewarded the quality of services and investment strategies of 18 issuers. Apart from the major Austrian issuers Erste Group, Volksbank and Raiffeisen Centrobank, international banks who offer their products and services and play an active role on the Austrian market, presented themselves to the jury.
The RCB Guarantee Certificate Austria Bond 6 was elected "Austria Certificate of the Year". With the Bull&Bear commodity certificates RCB won the first place in the category investment products with capital protection. RCB also came in first in the prestigious category "Info & Service". In the hotly competed category Index and Participation Certificates RCB won with an Austrian investment classic: the Index Certificate on the ATX, which provided for a tax-friendly investment opportunity yet last year. Thanks to the strong support of investors Raiffeisen Centrobank won the second place in the voting for the "Certificates House of the Year".
