Raiffeisen Centrobank successfully advised in the privatization of four electricity distribution companies in Turkey

Istanbul/Vienna – The privatizations of the electricity distribution companies; Akdeniz Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (“Akdeniz”), Boğaziçi Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (“Boğaziçi”), Gediz Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (“Gediz”) and Dicle Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (“Dicle”) were closed and parties who offered the winning bids signed 30-year transfer of operating rights agreements to take the control of respective assets.  

Raiffeisen Centrobank along with its local experts of Raiffeisen Investment Turkey acted as the exclusive advisors to the Privatization Administration of Turkey in the privatization of Akdeniz, Boğaziçi, Gediz and Dicle.

Kolin-Limak-Cengiz joint venture offered the winning bids of Akdeniz and Boğaziçi for a consideration of USD 546 mn and USD 1,860 mn respectively. Elsan-Tümaş-Karaçay joint venture offered the winning bid of Gediz for a consideration of USD 1,231 mn and İşkaya-Doğu joint venture offered the winning bid of Dicle for a consideration of USD 387 mn.
