RCB advises BAWAG P.S.K. Leasing on sale of fleet management

Vienna - BAWAG P.S.K. Leasing GmbH has signed an agreement with LeasePan Corporation N.V., the world’s leading fleet and vehicle management company, for the sale of BAWAG P.S.K. Fuhrparkleasing GmbH, in Austria. Raiffeisen Centrobank acts as exclusive sell-side advisor to BAWAG P.S.K. Leasing GmbH.

BAWAG P.S.K. Fuhrparkleasing GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of BAWAG P.S.K. Leasing, presently manages about 6,500 cars, which are completely taken over by LeasePlan Corporation N.V. The purchaser is represented by an own subsidiary in Austria which is the biggest brand-independent fleet manager in this country since 1983.

LeasePlan Corporation N.V. itself was founded in the Netherlands 50 years ago and is the world’s leading fleet and vehicle management company today. LeasePlan manages around 1.3 million multi-brand vehicles und is a global player with subsidiaries and branches in 31 countries with complete geographic coverage. The company currently employs over 6,250 persons of which over 85% are operating outside the Netherlands.

The agreement is still subject to approval by the Austrian ant-trust authorities. The closing of the transaction is expected in the 3rd quarter of 2013.
